Workplace design and management consultancy, Space Solutions, has announced Cancer Support Scotland as its new charity partner to mark the business’ 25th anniversary.
After members of staff from across the business voted for their chosen charity, Cancer Support Scotland was selected as the company’s new fundraising partner for a two-year period. The effort aims to raise enough money to fund over 150 treatment sessions- the equivalent to the number of staff at Space Solutions.
As well as a series of fundraising activities, including the Kilt Walk, a football tournament, Christmas jumper day and Burns Night, staff at Space Solutions have the opportunity to take part in mindfulness sessions run by volunteers at Cancer Support Scotland to give them an insight into the vital services the charity offers.
Space Solutions has been creating award-winning interiors since 1997. Now in its 25th year, the business continues to pioneer the concept of workplace consultancy and has worked with major public & private organisations across Scotland, England and Europe. In choosing Cancer Support Scotland as its charity for the celebratory year, the team hopes to go above and beyond in fundraising.
Steve Judge, founder and chairman at Space Solutions, commented: “It’s an exciting year for our business as we celebrate 25 years of transforming Scotland’s businesses and their locations. Over the past 25 years, we have supported many charities through fundraising and volunteering opportunities to give something back to communities around Scotland. We are thrilled to announce our new partnership with Cancer Support Scotland, which offers therapy treatment sessions to those sadly affected by cancer.”
“Our colleagues across all of our locations have the chance to fundraise for this vital service through activities taking place over the next two years, and we aim to raise enough to fund over 150 Cancer Support Scotland therapy sessions for those in need.”
Based at the Calman Centre on the grounds of Gartnavel Hospital, Glasgow, Cancer Support Scotland offers specialist services to promote mental and physical wellbeing to enable those affected by cancer to continue living the most active life possible in their communities.
Rob Murray, chief executive at Cancer Support Scotland, added:
“Cancer Support Scotland is thrilled to have been selected as Space Solutions’ Charity Partner for 2022-23 and we are looking forward to working together. We rely on the generosity of the general public and amazing organisations like Space Solutions to keep our free services running for people affected by cancer across Scotland. Thank you for your kind support, together we will make a real difference to those who need us, when they need us most.”
