Boralex

We worked closely with the SPACE Design & Build team to provide sustainable furniture options for Boralex’s first office in Scotland. Boralex, a renewable energy company with wind farms across the UK and Europe, have been producing affordable, accessible and renewable energy for over 30 years. Motivated by their commitment to environmental responsibility, sustainability was at the heart of this project, with a primary focus on reusing resources.

It was therefore fundamental to our new office build to integrate the principles of the circular economy into as many parts of the project as possible. Using Recycle Scotland to supply much of our furniture was an ideal solution. The quality and choice available were excellent and we’re delighted with the finished space.

This project exemplifies how businesses can prioritise sustainability and make mindful decisions throughout the fit-out process. Boralex wanted to create a social, flexible and collaborative environment for their employees and to encourage more in-person working while still remaining true to their company ethos. This result is the creation of an office space that is reflective of their brand values while minimising their environmental impact.
