Recycle Scotland, a leader in sustainable furniture solutions, collaborated with Macmillan Cancer Support to address furniture that was no longer required at their Glasgow office on Waterloo Street through their furniture brokerage service.
Committed to environmental responsibility, Recycle Scotland provided a sustainable solution for Macmillan Cancer Support whilst maximising their commercial value, allowing them to focus their efforts on the amazing work they do across the UK.
The process began with a comprehensive site audit, meticulously assessing the available products. This detailed evaluation included thorough documentation of product specifications, capturing photographs, noting dimensions, quantities, locations, and a detailed analysis of the furniture’s condition.
Recycle Scotland proposed a solution that facilitated the transition to a circular procurement model, aligning with Macmillan Cancer Support’s goal to reduce their environmental impact. The furniture found new homes in various businesses across the UK, including STC Insiso and Sphera Solutions, supporting their own sustainable business goals.
This project partnership emphasised the core principles of sustainability and the tangible benefits of implementing a truly circular furniture solution.
